The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment is seeking applications from graduates who are enthusiastic, innovative, strategic, and have an interest and drive in becoming future government procurement professionals. 

Procurement is one of the fastest growing professions in New Zealand and overseas. Procurement delivers innovative, flexible, and cost effective commercial solutions to meet business needs. It is a critical driver of business growth in both public and private sectors and is considered vital by business leaders.

Through NZGP’s Procurement Graduate Programme, you will gain 4+ years’ worth of professional level procurement experience in half the time; this is achieved by participating in four host placements, each lasting six months.  These are within select government agencies and provide you with wide exposure to and, experience with the procurement lifecycle.

Over the course of this two year programme you will gain invaluable, career-accelerating on the job training, access to exclusive, invite-only professional development opportunities, networking events, and special sessions. You will also be supported to undertake professional study, positioning you to get the job you want!  

You will be a well-rounded graduate who has completed and conferred a Bachelor Degree by 1 February 2018; all specialities and subjects are welcome and encouraged to apply.  The ability to think analytically, provide innovative solutions, and work well with people will underpin your success.
