Job Opportunities - Student Counsellor x2

Massey Manawatū Health and Counselling Centre is looking for two Student Counsellors committed to making a difference, with experience working with a diverse range of age groups and cultures.

The Centre would be particularly interested in hearing from practitioners with an affinity for working with Maori as well as registered psychologists to assist with supervision of intern psychologist placements.

Practitioners would be expected to work collaboratively with other Student Counsellors to help meet the needs of students on the Massey Manawatū campus and would be required to hold a Professional tertiary level qualification in psychology (general scope) or clinical psychology and be fully registered member of the New Zealand Psychologists Board.

The Centre provides one on one support to students as well as contributing to the wider wellness needs of the community on campus and Counsellors are part of the wider team which includes medical practitioners and nurses. The roles would be available as full time or on a part-time basis.

The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children’s Workers) Regulations 2015.
