One of the critical parts within MIT is our Pasifika Team. We are looking for a motivated, proactive and solution driven Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Chief Executive Pasifika. You will be his eyes and ears and the key point of contact for all his day to day management of team activities. You will hold the fort and be the face of the DCE Pasifika, ensuring strong coordination of team activities. You will help build a positive brand by delivering an excellent level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
Overall responsibilities include:
- Providing general secretarial support to the DCE Pasifika.
- Screening, redirecting or responding to calls, emails, requests and correspondence received.
- Organising and maintaining the DCE's diary by co-ordinating their external commitments, internal pre-agreed meetings and other urgent appointments.
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required and directed.
- Overseeing budgets of the DEC's office including reviewing expenses and raising issues where appropriate.
- Supporting the Coordination of events
- Assisting with People & Culture processes when required or directed.
This is a great opportunity for an EA with a minimum 6 years' experience working in a similar role for a senior executive and ideally holds a Business Administration qualification. This role is based at our Otara Campus and is for a super organised professional, who is able to think on their feet and solve problems. Proven proficiency with English Language in both written and verbal communications with a strong Pasifika culture competency is preferable. A high level of computer literacy and first class record management experience in paper and electronic are essential.
