Permanent Part-time and Casual Positions
We are looking for great companions to support a young woman in her 20’s to live independently. Supporting her in her own home, you will assist her with meal preparation, household chores, exploring the community, and planning for a week filled with meaningful activities. She wants to work alongside an active, reliable, flexible and fun person with good communication skills that can help her to be as independent as possible.
Are you:
- Respectful, trustworthy and confident, with good communication skills.
- A great role model and mentor.
- Someone who enjoys building relationships, and making a positive impact.
- A person who likes to promote self-confidence, independence and choice.
- A person who thinks outside the box.
You must have:
- A clear Ministry of Justice check.
- A full driver’s licence.
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts including evenings, weekends.
- A commitment to a tikanga Maori approach to your work or be willing to learn.
Experience in working with young adults, in mental health services or in another community support setting, would be an advantage.
Knowledge of te reo Maori would also be an advantage.
