Massey University's Tātai Angitu and Institute of Education bring together client, scholarly, professional, sector, community and whānau interests in rich communities of education practice and professional development. For over twenty years we have been providing high-quality professional learning and development for early years, primary, secondary and Māori immersion settings throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
What we are looking for
We are in an exciting stage of growth and need a talented leader to consolidate and continue to develop our PLD activities.
To be considered for this position you will demonstrate the following:
· Specialist knowledge and expertise in the area of Professional Learning and Development across the education sector, with in-service and short course provision a particular focus
· A collaborative approach to leadership and a personal commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
· Demonstrated capability in business planning, complex contract management and implementation in an entrepreneurial environment
· We require qualifications in the teaching profession and prefer current teacher registration or equivalent professional experience
Your tasks
As Leader PLD your key purpose will be to achieve the deliverables for existing contracts and to identify and pursue new opportunities. You will be actively engaged in the design and delivery of customized courses and in-service professional development. This role will work alongside academics and professional leaders in Tātai Angitu e3@Massey and the Institute of Education to consolidate and optimise the design, delivery, and demand of PLD contracts and services.
What we can offer you
This is a part time (0.6 FTE/22.5 hrs) two year fixed term position and an exciting opportunity to develop a new role in a field which is rich in variation and development. Whilst the preferred location for this role is Palmerston North, consideration will be extended to those located in Auckland or Wellington.
