A vacancy exists for a Senior Lecturer position in Te Pūtahi-a-Toi. The position will be full-time and based in Palmerston North.
Proven successful and recent experience teaching in kaupapa Māori Aho Matua contexts in Kura Kaupapa Māori including in the implementation of Te Aho Matua is desired. Experience in a senior management and leadership role in Kura Kaupapa Māori would be an advantage. High level of fluency in te reo Māori commensurate with teaching in a kaupapa Māori Aho Matua tertiary context is required.
Duties will include teaching of subjects across Te Aho Tātairangi and Te Aho Paerewa programmes in blended delivery (face to face, online and wānanga). Previous teaching and research experience at tertiary level will be an advantage and engagement in research consistent with kaupapa Māori Aho Matua teacher education priorities is important. Applicants should have a PhD or relevant higher degree, a recognised New Zealand teaching qualification and current teacher registration.
